Upcoming Marshall Barer Concert

I'm so excited to be coming back to The York Theatre Company to Assistant Direct their upcoming concert celebrating the songs of Marshall Barer, who was a songwriter for performers such as Nat King Cole, Sarah Vaughn, and Bing Crosby, before turning to musicals -- his biggest Broadway success was his lyrics and libretto for Once Upon A Mattress. I'll be assisting Gordon Hunt (The Jetsons, The Smurfs, Scooby Doo), and the concert stars BJ Ward and Michael Feinstein! I'm always happy to be back with my friends at The York, where I was an artistic/literary intern the Spring of 2013, and worked on some fantastic shows. The concert will be at The York Theatre at St. Peter's on June 10th.

Peter And The Wolf

It's been wonderful being back with Little Orchestra Society and the fantastic Annette Jolles, working as an Associate Director on their classic production of Peter and The Wolf. Sergei Prokofiev's timeless piece meets  the Lollipops Series's crazy cast of characters in a full production intended to introduce pre-school aged children to classical music. We had a fantastic weekend of performances beginning 4/25/14, at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.

You, Me & That Guy

I'm so happy to announce that  Stephen Sanow's You, Me & That Guy, has been chosen as one of The Araca Project's official 2014 selections, and I'm the lucky girl who gets to direct it!  This hilarious new play centers on Sarah, a recent college grad, who has a unique relationship with the world around her -- specifically, the audience. Stay tuned and see if you can catch a reading or a workshop performance before our official debut at The American Theatre of Actors the weekend of 9/12/14!

The Three B's: Bach, Beethoven and Brahms

It's been so much fun coming in as the associate director, sharing responsibilities with the incredible Annette Jolles on this brand new piece, produced by The Little Orchestra Society! The show is part of their wildly successful Lollipops Series, which serves as the first introduction to classical music for pre-school aged children.  The hour-long show has several performances the weekend of 3/8/14, at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.

A Girl Called Vincent

I'm so excited to be back with the Girl Called Vincent team after last August's workshop at The York! This beautiful new musical is about the life of prodigy poet Edna St. Vincent Millay, with music by Carmel Dean (If/ThenHands on a Hardbody) and lyrics from the poems of Ms. Millay.  I'll be working as the assistant director to Dick Scanlan (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Motown) as he directs and creates the book from letters and historical documents. 2nd Stage is producing the presentation, which will be at Pearl Studios on 1/23/14.

GCP Presents: The Christmas Camaraderie Concert

I was so lucky to be able to direct this concert to benefit the fantastic non-profit Girls Camaraderie Project. Founder and friend Arielle Jacobs (In The Heights) produced this evening of Rock'n'Roll Christmas Classics at Rockwood Music Hall on 12/16/13. We had incredible performers, like Arielle, as well as Michael Cerveris with his band Loose Cattle, Patti Murin, Al Silber, F. Michael Haynie, Lexi Lawson, Julia Mattison, and many more! We raised both money and awareness for a worthy cause, and had a fun evening, too!
